How did I get into UX?
Went to business school, earned a BComm in Accounting
Worked in management consulting, market research, and accounting
Wanted something creative, allows me to connect with people, and make a stronger impact
Earned a Google UX certificate, continued learning (books, articles, podcasts, mentorship), and now freelancing!
What kind of designer am I?
Feedback-driven
I believe in getting feedback early and often!
Continuously learning
Not only about UX but also neighbouring disciplines like psychology
Connect to understand
Making the effort to understand peers, stakeholders, and users makes for quality work
Causes I support
I have logged 300+ hours at Dress for Success volunteering as a clothing stylist. My styling helps women feel more confident interviewing, job hunting, or working at their current job to achieve economic independence.
I spent 4.5 years at The Young Investor Program volunteering in various roles, eventually co-chairing the program and joining the board. My contributions helped educate 1000+ high school students on financial literacy topics such as budgeting and investing.
After hours
My perfect day off in Toronto: farmers market, pilates class, get a sweet treat, go vintage shopping in Ossington or at a vintage popup
My perfect day travelling: Grab brunch, go to a flea market, explore funky neighbourhoods
I also have two cats!
Cleo
small, a biter
